Job summary

Humboldt Park Health in Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health to work full-time days, 7am-7pm with rotating weekends. This role offers competitive shift differentials and no new grads at this time.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering and documenting nursing care per physician orders, collaborating with the care team, and ensuring accurate charting in the EHR. Requires RN license and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention.
• BLS - Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, supervises and documents professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Communicates with nurses, physicians and health team for patient outcomes.
• Charts observations and activities in electronic health records.
• Guides unlicensed assistive personnel in patient care delivery.
• Assesses physiologic and psychosocial changes in patient conditions.
• Performs interventions per priorities and hospital policies.
• Collects blood samples for lab analysis.
• Operates department-specific equipment.

Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health FT Days 7am-7pm w/ rotating weekends + Best shift differentials in the city! No New Grads at this time

Plans, provides, supervises and documents professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.

• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Charts observations and activities related to patient care in electronic health record.
• Provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
• Collects blood specimens by venipuncture or micro techniques for laboratory analysis necessary for patient treatment and diagnosis.
• Operates equipment that is needed to perform department-specific duties.
