Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit hospital serving a 22-county region in North Florida. We seek a Registered Nurse to join our patient‑centered care team in a 772‑bed acute care setting, with a focus on safe, compassionate care.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, Florida RN licensure, and current BLS/CPR certification. No prior experience required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of nursing.
• Current licensed in the State of Florida to practice professional nursing (RN).
• Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an AHA instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment.
• Provides care through collaboration with team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process.
• Provides leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination and delegation of care in a safe, secure and clean environment.
• Ensures care provided displays respect for the patient’s rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs.
• Is adaptable, using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort, relieving pain and alleviating anxiety.
• Practices under the Department of Nursing and within the scope of the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Follows all policies, procedures, and requirements, and actively supports a commitment to the mission and vision of TMH, consistently displaying behaviors in harmony with the ICARE values.
