Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a registered nurse for our Psychiatry department. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and uphold the nursing process in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, Florida RN licensure, BLS/CPR certification, and 2–5 years of RN experience preferred; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of nursing.
• Florida RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Two to five years RN experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment.
• Provides care through collaboration with team members and autonomous nursing process application.
• Provides leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other health care team members.
• Responsibilities include coordination and delegation of care in a safe, secure and clean environment.
• Ensures care provided respects patient rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs.
• Adapts using evidence-based practice and information technologies while relieving pain and anxiety.
• Practices under the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Follows policies and supports TMH mission and ICARE values.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Graduate of approved school of nursing

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

• None

Preferred Education:

• Two (2) to five (5) Years experience as a RN

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Current licensed in the State of Florida to practice professional nursing (RN).
• Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.
