Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA seeks a Behavioral Health Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will assess, coordinate care, and educate patients and families across inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.

Collaboration with treatment teams and community partners helps ensure smooth transitions of care. The role requires current Iowa RN licensure, BSN preferred, and at least 5 years of clinical psychiatric experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or qualified multistate licensure.
• Previous clinical experience in a psychiatric treatment setting.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and evaluates individuals' physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social and education needs.
• Works collaboratively with Behavioral Health inpatient and outpatient teams to achieve patient care outcomes.
• Provides, facilitates and/or implements learning opportunities for patients, families or the community.
• Documents patient information in the medical record as required.
• Provides competent patient care by interpreting data and adapting procedures.
• Communicates pertinent patient changes to colleagues and the care team.
