Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, EHR documentation, and strong teamwork. The role requires a nursing degree, BLS, HWC, and at least 2 years in psychiatry, with Pyxis/HCS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Proficiency with CIWA and COWS.
• Experience with Pyxis and HCS systems is preferred.

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients dealing with mental health and addiction issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shift assessments, respond to code blues, and manage admissions and discharges.
• Administer medications, both emergency and regular, while ensuring compliance with patient care protocols.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate documentation of patient interactions and care plans.
• Maintain effective communication with team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Implement de-escalation techniques when needed and manage patient crises appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Proficiency in handling the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) and the Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS).
• Experience with Pyxis and HCS systems is preferred.
