Southcoast Health System, Inc. seeks an RN to join the Bed Placement Unit PD I at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA.
This per diem role covers day/evening shifts with weekend availability and holiday requirements. You will coordinate patient admissions, monitor bed availability, and collaborate with transport, labs, and medical records to ensure high-quality service. A Bachelor of Nursing and MA RN licensure with BLS are required.

Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Day/Evening shift with availability to work 2 weekend shifts per schedule. Required to work 2 holidays per year: one summer and one winter. List to be provided; 7:00am - 7:00pm and 7:00pm - 7:00am

Under direction of the Manager, Bed Flow Coordination or Designee, perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: provide direction to access appropriate placement of all admissions and transfers across the system, monitor room availability and turnover of beds, act as a central contact for all bed management decisions, etc. Coordinate bed flow meetings as needed and implement tools to enable a centralized information base. Work cooperatively with ancillary staff including transport, environmental services, laboratory, radiology, dietary and medical records staff. Ensure patient service is continuous and of high quality. Actively participate in culture related activities and serve as a role model for culture related behaviors such as service standards. Provide a high level customer service and customer satisfaction in the placement of patients within Southcoast. Perform accurate and timely pre-registration intake interview.
USD $44.92 - USD $82.48 /Hr.
Availability to work 2 weekend shifts per schedule. Required to work 2 holidays per year: one summer and one winter. List to be provided.
