Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Bed Control Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. You will coordinate and assign beds, collaborating with ED, inpatient units, and surgical services to optimize patient flow and care delivery.

Requirements include 3–5 years of RN experience in acute care, GA licensure, BCLS, and EPIC proficiency; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and wellness programs for you and your family.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3-5 years' experience as an RN in an acute care setting (preferably critical care or emergency).
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform.
• GA RN licensure or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure current in Georgia.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

The Bed Control Registered Nurse coordinates and assigns all beds at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. The Bed Control RN collaborates with physician offices, emergency department, inpatient units, surgical services and procedural areas to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service to all patients and physicians.

Bed Control RN utilizes problem solving and customer service skills to determine the best course of action for the patient, the physician, and the hospital by working closely with facility House Supervisors, referring physicians, ED/inpatient staff and administration.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience

• 3-5 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting-preferably critical care or emergency services
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required

Additional Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; have excellent customer service skills; able to anticipate and prioritize patients needing timely and appropriate bed assignments and level of care; charge nurse or higher level of leadership experience/responsibility preferred
