Job summary

Penn State Health in Lancaster, PA is seeking an RN Attending Nurse in the Medical Office Building Obstetrics and Gynecology to provide direct patient care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate care within a busy multi‑specialty practice. The Attending RN will assess needs, plan and direct nursing care, and participate in teaching and counseling.

The qualifications include an active RN license, state practice or multistate license, and BLS; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and counsel patients and families.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients and families; plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care.
