Job summary

Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced RN to become the Assistant Director of Nursing/Staff Development Coordinator. You will provide clinical and organizational leadership to the DON and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care, demonstrates compassion, and can manage multiple priorities with flexible hours while motivating staff.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with clinical leadership experience in long-term care
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop nursing staff
• Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and organizational leadership to the Director of Nursing
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care
• Coordinate staff development, in-service training, and performance evaluations
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and certification standards
• Collaborate on discharge planning and care coordination across providers
• Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage as needed
