Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes in Shelton, CT, a 106-bed skilled nursing facility, seeks an RN Assistant Director of Nursing Services to assist the DNS in planning, organizing and directing daily nursing operations. The role represents the DNS in meetings, coordinates with other departments, and helps ensure the highest quality care in a safe setting.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license in CT
• Previous experience in long term care
• Previous supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Assist the DNS in planning, organizing, developing and directing daily Nursing Services operations.
• Represent the DNS at meetings and on committees; ensure highest quality care in a safe facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with resident services and facility staff; maintain inter-departmental communication.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, DP H surveys, and corrective actions.
• Assist with performance evaluations of nursing staff; act as Nursing Supervisor when required.
