Job Description

The ADON assists in ensuring the delivery of quality care that promotes residents' physical, mental, and psychological well-being, based on assessments and care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Administrative: Assist in planning, organizing, and directing nursing department functions in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Quality of Care: Coordinate nursing services with other resident services, communicate with physicians and families regarding care issues.
• Staffing: Determine staffing needs, participate in hiring and training, develop work schedules, supervise staff.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs, serve on committees, review clinical records, and implement corrective actions.
• Other Duties: Assist with MDS assessments, regulatory reports, and participate in on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• RN certification from an accredited institution.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a skilled nursing facility; RUG certification preferred.
