Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.
• One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Two to three years of acute care hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Wound care experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
• Notify the physician and/or LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures and patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas.
• Participate in quality initiatives and process improvements to improve patient outcomes and safety.

What You'll Do

Education:
