Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks an experienced RN for the Ambulatory - Wound Care role at Tradition Hospital in Port St Lucie. You will deliver high-quality nursing care to ambulatory patients, perform assessments, administer treatments, and educate patients and families.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art wound care program, engage in continuous quality improvement, and support leadership development within the department.

Tradition Hospital offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary wound care for chronic, non-healing wounds, utilizing advanced diagnostics and treatment. Services include hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), debridement and specialized dressings. The care focuses on treating the underlying causes of wounds to facilitate healing. As an RN on the Wound Care team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience, optimize the treatment of wound care and provide healthcare education as needed. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas.
• Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.
• Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identified annual core competencies.

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM - 5:00PM.
Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
