Job summary

Marymount Hospital, part of Cleveland Clinic, is seeking an experienced RN for our Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will oversee nursing practice in the ASC, assess patient care needs, plan care using the nursing process, and collaborate with caregivers across the Twinsburg, Lorain, Beachwood, Strongsville, and Marymount locations to ensure seamless patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• BLS and PALS certifications through the AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• One year of perioperative or critical care RN experience OR three years of Surgical Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the clinical practice of nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Report variances from standard practice to the Nurse Manager.
• Develop educational material and provide health education to patients and families.
• Process patients through the ASC.
• Assess the level of personnel skills and availability of resources to meet patient outcomes.
• Actively participate in ASC goals and mission.
• Monitor and evaluate cost effective practices within the ASC.
• Participate in quality monitoring programs within the ASC.
• Maintain nursing competencies and participate in staff development programs.
• Identify self-learning needs and evaluate goal attainment.
• Demonstrate respect for cultural and social differences.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
