• Notify physician or LIP of abnormal findings.

• Develop and document health education for patients and families.

• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

About This Role

The RN Ambulatory – Pediatrics position at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus involves providing professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting for pediatric patients. • Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience

• One year of recent experience as an RN.
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
