Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a skilled RN for the Ambulatory - Mirror Lake - OBGYN unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the ambulatory clinic, coordinating patient admissions, scheduling, and record maintenance.

You will counsel patients and families, serve as a liaison among case managers, home health, and utilization review, and contribute to a safe, efficient practice environment. Valid RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license to practice.
• Knowledge of nursing care procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by performing assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments for patients in the ambulatory setting.
• Coordinates delivery of care within the practice and across health care settings.
• Refer patients to needed services as ordered by the provider.
• Fosters collaboration to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.
• Communicates with patients, caregivers and other health professionals regarding care.
• Mentors new staff and participates in orientation and ongoing education.
