Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an RN to support Cosmetic Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT) at the Landerbrook Cosmetic Services team. You will scribe during visits, assist with outpatient surgical care, and provide crucial pre/postoperative education.

Hours are typically 8:00am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, with potential cross-site coverage as needed. Growth through hands-on experience and education opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• One year RN experience.

As part of the Landerbrook Cosmetic Services team, this role will be supporting practices in Cosmetic Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT). In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands‑on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.

A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm. Hours will ultimately be based on facility needs.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Work alongside Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery (ENT), and Cosmetic Dermatology providers.
• Scribe during office visits to support providers and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist with outpatient surgical care.
• Prepare and assist during local office procedures.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
• Build long term relationships with patients throughout their surgical journey.
• Develop specialized skills in a fast paced procedural environment.
• Work as part of a small, collaborative clinical team.
• Occasionally float to other Cleveland Clinic ambulatory locations to support operational needs.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of recent experience as an RN
• If current Cleveland Clinic Caregiver in ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting transferring into a RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting will consider current LPN, Medical Assistant, and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience (e.g. Dialysis Tech., Ambulatory CT., in lieu of RN experience, or if current Cleveland Clinic Caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area as ambulatory area transferring into will consider current LPN, Medical Assistant, and /or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience(Dialysis Tech. , Ambulatory CT., Inpatient PCNA, inpatient C.T., Inpatient LPN, in lieu of RN experience. Current demonstrated clinical competence.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $33.50

Maximum hourly: $53.40
