Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center seeks a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. You will assess health status, perform triage, administer medications, and develop care plans while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include CPR and emergency interventions, documenting health education, and occasional travel within the region to support clinics and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within six months of hire.
• Minimum one year of recent RN/LPN or equivalent ambulatory clinical experience.

They diagnose and treat heart diseases, such as coronary artery disease, valvular disease and rhythm disorders. As an RN in this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. A caregiver in this position will work 8:00am to 4:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire
• One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $33.50

Maximum hourly: $53.40
