Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the nursing department.
• Assist in recruitment, selection, and training of department personnel.
• Plan and conduct regular in-service training to ensure a well-educated nursing team.
• Monitor and guide completion of assessments in a timely manner.
• Schedule and facilitate care plan conferences; coordinate QM meetings.
• Manage the Care Planning Process.
• Develop, present, and evaluate education and training for employees.
• Infection prevention, vaccinations, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

What You Bring to the Table:

Essential Qualifications:

• · Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the nursing department.
• · Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of competent department personnel.
• · Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling regular in-service training classes that provide instruction and ensure a well-educated nursing department while keeping up with Federal and State educational requirements.
• · Monitors and guide the completion of assessments in a timely manner.
• · Schedules and facilitates care plan conferences Facilitates monthly QM meetings
• · Manages Care Planning Process.
• · Assist in developing, presenting, and evaluating education and training for employees.
• · Infection prevention, vaccinations, collaboration with other healthcare professionals within and outside of the facility and implement infection prevention education.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• · Current Registered Nursing license in the state of Louisiana
• · Experience in Long-Term Care settings
• · 3 years management experience preferred

• · Flexible hours required
