Job summary

Keosauqua Health Care in Keosauqua, IA, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN to lead the Nursing Department. This full-time role supports clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, staff development, and high-quality resident care.

The ADON will assist in directing daily operations, supervise staff, monitor policies, and participate in education and performance initiatives to uphold standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of RN supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management of the Nursing Department.
• Support and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in staff education, training, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and clinical operations as needed.
• Conduct rounds to monitor resident care and address clinical concerns.
