Job summary

Palms Behavioral Health is seeking an RN for the Nights shift in the Adolescents Unit (Acute) in Harlingen, TX. You will supervise care provided by LPNs, CNAs and staff, develop individualized care plans, and ensure patient safety and accurate documentation throughout your shift.

The role requires an active RN license in TX (or a compact state), CPR and de-escalation training, and experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in TX or compact state is required.
• Graduation from an approved nursing program.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop/adjust care plans.
• Administer medications using two identifiers and document.
• Provide education to patients and families about care and meds.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team and participate in rounds.
• Ensure accurate documentation and hand-off reports.
