Job summary

Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL seeks an experienced RN and people leader to become the Admissions & Intake Team Manager. You will guide centralized referral, intake, and admissions processes for Hospice, Home Health, and Palliative Care services, ensuring referrals are handled efficiently with compassion.

You’ll lead a fast-paced team, coach staff, and collaborate with clinical and leadership partners to support timely, quality patient care and smooth transitions into services.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida RN license.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of clinical operations and patient-care coordination.
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and support to Admissions and Intake team members.
• Train, mentor, and develop staff to strengthen clinical knowledge, performance, engagement, and professional growth.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, competency reviews, and coaching conversations.
• Manage scheduling, attendance, timecards, time-off requests, staffing coverage, and team resources.
• Participate in interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Promote accountability while creating a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture.
• Conduct clinical supervisory visits and identify opportunities for continued development.
• Lead regular Admissions team meetings and communicate organizational and departmental changes.
