Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), Admissions/Float, for the Blue Home Care Team in Overland Park, KS. The role supports hospice admissions, informational visits, and IDT collaboration from the Overland Park office, with opportunities to serve patients and families across the organization.

The ideal candidate holds Kansas and Missouri RN licenses, strong critical thinking, and hospice/home health experience is preferred.

Position Description:

The Admission/Float RN reports to a Kansas City Hospice Team Manager. He/she is responsible for providing informational visits and hospice admissions, and/or making visits as needed to support the IDT in providing care to patients and families. While based from the Overland Park, KS, office, this position is expected to develop competence and work as needed throughout the organization.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements:

• Current Kansas and Missouri RN license.
• Stellar critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously
• Minimum of one year experience in caring for actively dying patients preferred.
• Home Health or Hospice experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Licensed drivers with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• CPR certification required.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills are required.
