Job summary

Medical City Frisco, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a PRN Administrative House Supervisor RN to support nursing leadership in the absence of administration. The role emphasizes patient safety, care coordination, and autonomous practice with evidence-based methods.

The Administrative Supervisor coordinates staffing, maintains standards, delegates tasks, and participates in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• RN licensed nurse with current state license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience, at least 2 in supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide for effective utilization of personnel and act as a resource person in planning care on the unit level.
• Assure standards of performance are maintained as they relate to each individual department, with patient safety as the primary goal.
• Exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary patient care.
• Delegate tasks appropriate to meet the needs of the individual patient and to the skills of the employee supervised.
• Ensures an environment that facilitates the provision of care/treatment/services within the theoretical framework of modeling and role-modeling.
• Utilizes effective problem solving techniques and service recovery as appropriate.
• Participate in development and evaluation of professional practice by participating on unit and/or hospital committees, special projects and attendance at staff meetings and town halls.
• Actively participate in unit and/or hospital performance improvement activities.
• Participate in health promotion/educational community involvement, life time learning and nursing research.
• Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function.
