Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope. You will assess patient needs, carry out physician orders, and participate in multidisciplinary care planning to support optimal recovery.

Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, vital signs monitoring, and patient education. TN license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months are required; one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Therapeutic communication used in daily practice.
• RN from accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor and document patient condition using computerized systems.
• Educate patients and families as part of the multidisciplinary care team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

InpatientRehab Nurse

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

What you will do in this role:

• You will assess plans and evaluate thepatientscare needs and will carry out physician orders.

• You will administer prescribed medications,changesdressings, cleans wounds, andmonitorsvital signs.

• You willmonitor,recordand communicate patientconditionas appropriateutilizingcomputerized documentation systems.

• You will instruct and educate patients and families aspart of partof a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

What qualifications you will need:
