Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time position with rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will deliver nursing care, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to support patients’ understanding of conditions, medications, and self-care. Active RN license required; prior clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice and able to obtain hire on date of employment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform nursing duties per hospital policies.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care by reviewing prescriptions and coordinating with the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by assessing patients and documenting status.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluates patient outcomes and updates care plans accordingly.
• Maintains safe patient environment, following infection control and safety policies.
• Documents care services in patient records.
• Maintains and checks equipment and supplies; performs preventive maintenance.
• Maintains competency through ongoing training and leadership input.
