Job summary

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis, establishing nursing care objectives, and defining interventions.
• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan to the health care team.
• Coordinates with other healthcare providers and supports patients and families in understanding conditions and self-care.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients, and establishing objectives and interventions.
• Maintains infection-control, safe medication handling, and compliance with regulatory standards; documents care activities.
• Keeps patient care equipment operating, maintains supplies, and ensures a safe care environment.
• Keeps patient care supplies ready by managing stock and expediting orders.
• Maintains competence in nursing capabilities as directed by leadership.
