Job summary

Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for postpartum/gynecology care. The role includes 72 hours over two weeks with 12-hour rotating day/evening/night shifts, including every third weekend and holiday.

The nurse will develop care plans, review prescriptions, coordinate with the health care team, and provide physical, emotional, and educational support to patients and families. Sign-on bonuses may be available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in postpartum/gynecology nursing is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan.
• Develop and update nursing care plans based on patient condition and family needs.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
