Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time day shift. Starting pay at $37.50/hr, with rotating weekends and holidays, and a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 for eligible applicants.

Grow through the Clinical Ladder program with salary increases up to 20% based on experience and achievement. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer meds, educate patients, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and sociocultural factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve patient health.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance in the hospital environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to team members as appropriate.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
