Job summary

Registered Nurses in the Chandler 5 Main Acute Care area at UK Chandler Hospital provide care to adult patients with a wide range of medical/surgical conditions. The 5 Main Chandler Acute care unit delivers acute inpatient care, with the RN serving as a key component of the medical team.

The primary responsibilities include delivering total, comprehensive and patient-centered care, assessing and documenting all aspects of the care plan, and coordinating with Physicians to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license and BLS certification.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds daily and stand for long periods.
• Shift includes two 12-hour night shifts; weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Provide total, comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess, document, plan, implement, teach and evaluate a plan of care.
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Train and delegate duties to Nursing Care Technicians and adhere to regulations.
