Job summary

The Valley Health System invites applications for a registered nurse to provide safe, competent care in a busy hospital environment. You will lead a healthcare team, uphold patient-centered care, and ensure adherence to policies and standards across units.

The role requires RN licensure in Nevada, BSN preferred, and current BLS/PALS or NRP as required. One year of acute care experience or three years part-time, with a commitment to ongoing education and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
