Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a registered nurse to perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate care across physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs. The role emphasizes timely intervention, evaluation of outcomes, and maintaining patient safety and quality care.

Requirements include Missouri RN license (or compact state license), ACLS/BLS within specified timeframes, ASLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification, CPI training, and annual RN competency documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri registered nurse license or compact-state RN license.
• If no hospital RN experience or more than 5 years since last hospital work, pass PCO within 30 days.
• ACLS within 180 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
• ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 60 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families.
• Plan and implement appropriate interventions and evaluate effectiveness, adjusting the plan as indicated in a timely manner to provide safe and effective care.

What You’ll Do

In conjunction with the Medical Plan Of Care, independently perform systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families: plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluate effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Requirements

• Current Missouri registered nurse license or current registered nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
• If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting or it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, nurses must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days.
• AHA ACLS within 180 days.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
• ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 60 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 180 days.
• RN competency day annually by transcript due date.
