Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking an Access Management Nurse to work in the System Capacity Command Center (SC3). The role requires reviewing and screening admission requests from ED to optimize patient flow.

You will collaborate with ED physicians and payers, apply InterQual and regulatory standards, and ensure cost-effective admissions while maintaining high-quality care.

A Bachelor’s degree in nursing with Michigan RN licensure and at least three years of clinical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing. Three (3) years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience facilitating InterQual reviews is advantageous.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Review and screen recommended admission cases at the ED.
• Collaborate with ED physicians and payers regarding initial screening.
• Facilitate throughput in a cost-effective manner while maintaining care quality.
• Apply clinical knowledge to reduce financial risk and inappropriate admissions.
