Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Virginia is seeking an Abdominal Vascular and Compression Registered Nurse to deliver high quality patient-centered care pre- and post-operatively, in collaboration with medical providers.

You will assess patients, document care, administer medications, and maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures. A BSN or ADN, and BCLS/ACLS within timeframes are required.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• Degree: ADN/ASN, BSN, or RN Diploma and 1 year nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
