Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Abdominal Vascular and Compression Unit on a PRN basis. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including pre- and post-operative nursing responsibilities, in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include documenting care, administering medications, monitoring patient status, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience required.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications must be obtained within the stated timeframes after employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
• Advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.
• Document care in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
