• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi‑state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification.
• One (1) year general nursing experience required.
• One (1) year on specific unit preferred.

The Unit

The Allegheny General 9C Telemetry Unit is a 30‑bed unit providing specialized care for a diverse patient population. The unit focuses heavily on the care of patients with neuroscience needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, epilepsy, seizure disorders, MS exacerbations, Guillain‑Barré syndrome, and a history of stroke. In addition to the neuroscience focus, the unit also provides care for general medicine and medical trauma patients.

General Overview

Responsible and accountable for a designated patient population for the purpose of providing care based upon enactment of the nursing process. Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
