Job summary

The Allegheny General Hospital 9C Telemetry unit is a 30-bed unit focused on neuroscience and general medicine care. This full-time position supports patient care from admission through discharge on a collaborative, patient-centered team.

As a registered nurse, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification.

• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.

Unit Overview

The Allegheny General 9C Telemetry Unit is a 30 bed unit providing specialized care for a diverse patient population. The unit focuses heavily on the care of patients with neuroscience needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, epilepsy, seizure disorders, MS exacerbations, Guillain‑Barré syndrome, and a history of stroke. In addition to the neuroscience focus, the unit also provides care for general medicine and medical trauma patients.

Job Summary

Responsible and accountable for a designated patient population for the purpose of providing care based upon enactment of the nursing process.
