Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5th Floor Ortho/Med-Surg/Women’s unit in Naples, FL. The RN independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care with minimal supervision and provides direct patient care and teaching.

You will participate in quality improvement activities and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care for adults with orthopedic, medical, women’s health and oncology needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida (RN) or APRN.
• BLS certification from Red Cross or AHA.
• RN Residency Program available for new to practice RNs.
• Intermediate computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements care plans to attain expected outcomes.
• Implements plans of care and medical plans of care as appropriate.
• Coordinates care delivery and patient teaching to promote health and safety.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and practices ethically.

The 5 th Floor Ortho/Med-Surg/Women’s is an all private, 32 bed unit at our North Naples campus that provides care to adults who are hospitalized with a wide variety of conditions, including general medical, orthopedics, women’s health and oncology.

Nursing care consists of preparing patients for surgical procedures, providing post-surgical care, administering and managing Chemotherapy regimens, pain management, spiritual/emotional support and promoting a healing environment.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure. Provides direct nursing care to patients, assumes teaching and leadership responsibilities. Participates in shared decision making, unit committee and quality improvement activities. Needs minimal supervision.

• Utilizes appropriate resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.

• Accountable to foster, participate, and be knowledgeable with the shared decision-making model of the NCH Healthcare System.

Education, Experience And Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• All new to practice RN will be placed into the RN Residency Program.
• Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
