Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN for Med-Surg in Missouri with day and night shifts. A sign-on bonus is offered for both new grads and experienced RNs. No contract is required. The unit provides experience across varied diagnoses and care needs, including cardiac and vascular populations.

You will work with educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dietitians, PT/OT, and speech therapists while earning ACLS credentials and advancing your clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in state and/or compact licensure.
• ACLS credential (will earn) or listed requirement in-text.

The Mercy Joplin MedSurg Service Line is made up of several specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!

Our Cardiac Surgery Unit is a 24-private bed unit that cares for pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV drips, vascular surgery patients and general medical overflow. Our Nurses work on a support team of educators, PCA/PCT's, Case Managers, Respiratory Therapists, Dieticians, PT/OT and Speech Therapists. You will earn credentials in ACLS and build strong clinical skills for our cardiac and vascular population.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
