Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. Under supervision of the Director and Charge Nurse, the RN delivers safe, patient-centered care and collaborates with the healthcare team to improve outcomes.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current Florida RN license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS). Preferred CCS or Critical Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Utilize clinical judgment to identify nursing diagnoses and implement appropriate interventions.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to treatment and nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.

Position Summary

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of Critical Care nursing experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
