Adena Health System in Chillicothe, OH is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit. The position delivers direct patient care, collaborates with physicians and the care team, and supports our mission to provide focused community healthcare.

The night shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a full-time schedule with every third weekend. The role supports a 1:3–4 patient ratio; BSN preferred within five years; Ohio RN license and basic life support certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing.
• BSN required within five years from date of hire.
• Active Ohio RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and implement the patient care plan.
• Collaborate with the care team and physicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and abide by nursing standards under supervision.

What You’ll Do

The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patient's plan of care; while creating an atmosphere that supports our vision: To be our regions' most trusted partner in healthcare. The Staff Nurse, RN as the primary care giver provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physician and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. The Staff Nurse, RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Minimum/Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within five (5) years from the date of hire.
• Registered Nurse with current Ohio license
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
