Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2nd floor Intermediate Unit (PCU). This full-time position features a 36-hour week with day shifts from 7am to 7pm and a self-scheduling option.

The 34-bed PCU cares for adults with complex medical needs, with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Eligible candidates hold Indiana RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire; Pathway to Excellence designation reflects our commitment to quality nursing care.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Pathway to Excellence designation recognized by Baptist Health Floyd.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Serve as on-shift team member delivering patient care for patients, families, and coworkers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and safety.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate handoffs during shifts.

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The 2nd floor Intermediate Unit is a 34-bed unit specializing in Progressive Care (PCU) or intermediate nursing. With nurse-to-patient ratios (4:1), our team provides high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. Our unit is composed both experienced and new graduate nurses; we work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient centric care.
