Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of Highmark Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for the 12A Telemetry Unit. You will provide high-acuity post-surgical care to cardiac, thoracic, vascular and transplant patients, including LVAD support.

• CPR - American Heart Association.

The Unit

The Allegheny General 12A Telemetry Unit is 24 beds with all single occupancy rooms. The Unit provides high acuity post-surgical care to cardiac, thoracic, vascular and transplant patients, as well as support and treatment to patients with LVADs. The unit is proud to hold the Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification (C4).

Qualifications

• Minimum
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• CPR - American Heart Association
• One (1) year general nursing experience required
• One (1) year on specific unit preferred
