Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to care for a pediatric patient in the patient’s own home in Glenwood, Iowa. This full-time day position offers an hourly pay of $38 and a compassionate team environment.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, administering medications, and coordinating education and discharge planning under physician supervision. Required: RN license, Health Certificate, PPD/Chest X-Ray, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility contract or state regulation.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray as required.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of registered nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates care plans and revises with prescriber as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing actions per diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to patient condition changes and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates teaching, care, and discharge planning as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
