Job summary

Tyto Athene is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a Government Program Management Office in Virginia Beach, VA on site.

You will apply RMF, integrate security into the SDLC, and prepare ATO documentation (SSP, SAP, RAR) while coordinating with program managers and stakeholders.

Required: 4+ years IT security experience (RMF/A&A), a CS/cyber degree or 6+ years with an associate degree, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of IT security experience, including RMF and A&A.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/cybersecurity or related field, or an associate degree with 6+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• CSWF Intermediate Level knowledge/skills (IAT II)
• Active Secret clearance as reported in DISS.

Responsibilities

• Support SDLC with cybersecurity engineering, ensuring security is integrated into architecture.
• Apply RMF to program information systems to achieve ATO.
• Develop and maintain SSP, SAP, RAR, and A&A packages and SRTMs.
• Review ACAS scans, STIGs, and SCAP content for system components.
• Engage with program managers and stakeholders to interpret requirements and budgets.
