Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an Information System Security Engineer to support RMF, AWS, ACAS, and Splunk across DoD-related environments. You will work with admins and developers to identify vulnerabilities, deploy security tooling via IaC/CaC, and ensure compliance with STIGs and DISA guidance.

Onsite work three days per week in Raleigh, NC is required. US citizenship is required; a BS+ in cybersecurity or related field and an active AWS certification are needed, with

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Active AWS Certification.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3–5 years with a master’s degree.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

• Identify and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities with the team.
• Deploy and manage security tools via IaC and CaC such as ACAS, Splunk, Microsoft Defender, and Clam AV.
• Harden systems and maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements using DISA STIGs.
