Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Receptionist to support patient scheduling and intake in a busy clinic. The role ensures accurate data entry, insurance information, and smooth office operations while handling payments and coordinating with staff.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, current BLS certification, and at least a few months of related experience, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher. Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum of three month’s related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Terminology is not necessary but preferable.

Responsabilités

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Receptionist to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Accurately schedule patients for appropriate time and needs based upon referrals. Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of patients to the clinic. Ensures that the patient’s information is collected, entered in the computer system accurately, and that all patients are aware of office policies and procedures. Accurately and in a timely manner is able to schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for clinic patients. Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate quarterly on all admissions into CPSI.

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for scheduling patients to be seen in the office. Accurately obtains appropriate histories, prior diagnostic tests results, and all other necessary information to facilitate constructive patient visits to the office.
• 2. Responsible for obtaining signature on Condition of Admission forms.
• 3. Responsible for gathering correct information for proper insurance submission.
• 4. Communicates appropriately to fellow office staff to constructively facilitate good daily work flow.
• 5. Receive patient payments or a co-payment as required. Posts transactions appropriately to system. Counting till drawer and verifying correct amount at the beginning and ending of every shift.
• 6. Maintains office records, reports, and files as required.
• 7. Responsible for knowing office policies and being familiar with what services are available through the office.
• 8. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function well in stressful situations.
• 9. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity; ensures confidentiality of patients’ records.
• 10. Maintains a good working relationship with in the office as well as with outside contacts.
• 11. Participates in the educational programs, completes annual educational requirements, and attends in-service meetings as required.
