Job summary

Anabranch Solutions, LLC is seeking traveling field technicians for riverscape restoration projects across remote western locations. You will join a crew building low-tech restoration structures, like BDAs and PALS, while living in remote camps during hitches and relying on provided gear and per diem.

Ideal candidates are ready to work long outdoor hours, lift equipment, and travel to diverse sites with a team, maintaining safety and clear communication throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to learn in the field and in trainings.
• Ability to work safely in remote and adverse conditions.
• Flexibility with ever-changing schedules.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with situational awareness.
• Comfort with manual labor and/or physical exertion.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry 55 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Locally acquire natural building materials and stage them for BDAs and PALS constructions.
• Construct beaver dam analogs (BDAs) and post-assisted log structures (PALS).
• Cut and haul slash, construct in-stream structures, and operate basic tools.
• Work with a crew outdoors, camping at sites during hitches.
