Michigan State University seeks a River Trail Cook I who will prepare various foods and lead student staff in providing outstanding service in a dynamic environment. River Trail Cook I
Will prepare, season, cook, and portion a wide variety of foods in Culinary Services; will work within a diverse work force in an everchanging work environment; will organize work area and student staff to provide exceptional food service to a large student-based food service. Position is located in Thrive at Owen.
All positions in SLE are designated as critical status. In the event of a university closure, modification, or suspension of operations due to snow or other emergency condition, persons in this position are expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work as scheduled for the duration of the closure/suspension. If a person has an approved remote work agreement to work a portion of their normally scheduled work hours remotely, they may be called upon to work on-site to serve the MSU community.
Customer oriented and the ability to anticipate the needed changes in service and customer demands; skilled in taking initiative and being highly flexible.

Mondays off, Tuesday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., alternating weekends off.
