SUMMARYAs an RIT Co-op student with Rochester Regional Health's Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams, you will help to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data and analytics solutions.LOCATION: Hybrid with occasional travel necessary to our Riedman Campus in Rochester, NYDEPARTMENT: Data Engineering and Analytics EngineeringSCHEDULE: M-F, days. This will be a 40-hour/week and single-block co-op.ATTRIBUTESStudent enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related disciplines who are interested in developing practical skills in data management, business intelligence, and analytics engineering.RESPONSIBILITIESThis role provides hands-on experience with modern data platforms, data integration, business intelligence, and cloud technologies.The co-op will assist with building and testing data pipelines, supporting data quality initiatives, developing reports and dashboards, and contributing to analytics projects that help drive informed business decisions.Working closely with experienced engineers and analysts, the student will gain exposure to data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, reporting tools, and data governance practices in a healthcare enterprise environment.EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67–100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates could vary based on position details and FTE.
